Underwater Ship Inspection and Hull Cleaning
EPRONS commercial divers clean and inspect ship hulls afloat, without dry-docking, in Latvian ports and in other EU countries. Inspections are carried out by divers or by a remotely operated vehicle (ROV), with video documentation for the shipowner, the classification society or the insurer.

Our hull services
- In-water survey for class
- Documented hull inspection for the shipowner, with video and photo report
- Hull cleaning, including sea chests and gratings
- Propeller cleaning and polishing
- Hull thickness measurement
- Replacement of zinc anodes
- Replacement and repair of underwater transducers
- Blanking off sea chests
Why clean the hull and propeller
Marine growth on the hull and propeller increases drag and fuel consumption. Regular in-water cleaning and propeller polishing help the vessel keep its speed and reduce fuel costs. An inspection shows the condition of the coating, anodes and underwater fittings before small problems become expensive repairs.
